The Ruidoso Police Department is committed to serving the community while protecting the rights and property of its residents and visitors. Our officers are commissioned by the Ruidoso Police Department, the Lincoln County Sheriff and the 12th Judicial District Attorney and are authorized to perform their duties in Lincoln and Otero counties. The Department consists of XX patrol officers, two lieutenants, and two detectives.

9-1-1 - Handles all emergency calls in Ruidoso for police, fire and medical
Records - Keeps all crime records and police reports
Parking Enforcement - Includes traffic control
Specialty Units - Such as SWAT, Canine (K-9)
Investigations - Such as homicide, CSI, burglary, robbery
Victim Support Team - Volunteers for Domestic Violence Victim support
